  Leah David, MS
Founder and Executive Director of Ohr HaLimud and its affiliated programs.

Mrs. David is a NYS Certified Teacher with a degree in Elementary Education, a Masters Degree in Communications and takes part in on-going Orton-Gillingham Training. She also brings to the organization 31 years of Marketing and Advertising experience. Mrs. David was the Founder and CEO of ‘She’ Advertising and to her credit earned a CLEO finalist award-advertisings top honor. As the mother of a bright, creative child who was not learning to read, Mrs. David created these programs to give every child the opportunity to learn to read.

 

Amy Bailin, MS Ed, PD, F/AOGPE

With a professional diploma in Educational Administration and Supervision Ms. Bailin is a Founding Fellow and Past Vice President of The Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. She is a Past President of the New York Branch of the International Dyslexic Association. Ms. Bailin developed the first teen conference on Dyslexia. For over 30 years she has served as a teacher and administrator in both public and private schools. She specializes in curriculum design/revision and staff development. She is a co-founder of Bailin-Mann Associates, a learning center for children and adults.

  

Rivka Abadi, BA, Certified by ICELP

Currently pursuing a Masters degree in School Administration, and a Certified teacher of Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment, Mrs. Abadi has extensive experience in curriculum development in the area of Special Education, meta-cognitive skills training, administrative skills, and 30 years of teaching Hebrew Reading to both children and adults in both the United States and Israel. She is currently working towards her Orton-Gillingham Level II Teacher Certification.  Mrs. Abadi has extensive educational experience establishing home-schooling programs in Israel. She was responsible for creating, establishing and directing a special education curriculum and program for the Lanna International School in Thailand.
